Detroit Historical Museum
The Detroit Historical Museum is a three story wonderland of Detroit and American History. From the Old Streets of Detroit in the basement, to the Arsenal of Democracy display on the second floor, everything was fantastic. Our four person, super-team visited the site on Thursday, May 5th. We were delighted at the entire experience, but primarily enjoyed the WWII displays. We gained a better perspective on the war, and what exactly went in to fight that war. We not only saw facts and figures, but got to touch artifacts and experience some of the emotions in America at the time. While there were no Enigma related things at the museum, we still gained a lot that makes this project better. We appreciate much more the true valor and courage many of our troops displayed in this time, and the overall gravity of the war. This experience was invaluable to our learning and will not be forgotten any time soon.
